Tell us all about your story! The more details the better!
Megan: When Matt and I met it was after I was in a long term relationship. I had just gotten the news I was in remission and officially cancer free. I had Hodgkins Lyphoma Stage 4.
Matthew: It was March 12, 2012 when Matt first visited Megan’s profile on a different dating site. Something encouraged him to review her page again. He also checked to make sure that she was on Jdate as that was important to him.
After many messages back and forth, they decided to exchange phone numbers. They made many attempts to plan a first date and agreed to meet on March 20, 2012. They went to TGI Fridays and spent hours there just getting to know each other.
In June, after they had dated a few months, Matt decided to make it “official” and asked Megan to be his girlfriend, which he had written on a surprise cake.
This couple became “official” on June 6, 2012, right before Megan was to celebrate her cancer free party. Matt was able to meet many of her friends and family that day. Over the next few years, Megan and Matt became two peas in a pod and dated for 4 years before Matt proposed! Since Megan is a huge Disney fan, let’s end this story by writing, “They Lived Happily Ever After!”
