Talia & Liran: "It was an instant connection!"

Jdate is responsible for more Jewish marriages than all other dating sites combined! But we’ve got more than just statistics to back it up. In our “Success Stories” feature, you’ll meet real couples who found love online.

How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!

Liran sent me the first message on Jdate after I “secretly admired” him. We met for coffee five days later on December 23, 2014, at Coffee Bean. It was an instant connection!

After the coffee date, we went on a sushi dinner date and a bowling date, and we spent New Year’s Eve at a party together. The rest is history!

We got engaged on March 10, 2016, and have set the date for our wedding for December 18, 2016.

A couple of days ago, it dawned on me that the first message Liran ever sent me on Jdate was around December 18, 2014. So I emailed Jdate to see if they could send me our old messages to confirm the date of our first conversation.

A few days later, I received a message letting me know that Jdate gave me 36 hours of access to my account, allowing me to log in and retrieve any information I wanted.

I searched for my old messages with Liran, and indeed, the first message he ever sent me on Jdate was on December 18, 2014. We set the date of the wedding for December 18, 2016, without even realizing that!

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!

After three months of dating, Liran went on a trip to Europe for three weeks. He had never missed a girlfriend while away for a period of time in the past. Liran told me that he missed me and it was “weird.” That’s when I knew he was a keeper!

What advice would you give other Jdaters?

Have an open mind. Have standards for yourself.
